Compare currencies using published rates
Choose the amount and currency pair
Enter a non-negative amount, select the source currency, and choose the currency you want to compare it with. The common list includes USD, GBP, EUR, PKR, CNY, AED and SAR alongside other frequently used currencies. Press Convert to request the latest published reference rate. Swap reverses the currency pair while keeping the amount available for another calculation. Converting a currency to itself uses a rate of one.
Read the result and its date
The result multiplies your entered amount by the fetched rate. The page displays the source date so you can see how recent the published observation is. Frankfurter gathers currency information from central banks and other official sources. Its reference rates generally update daily, rather than with every market movement. Weekends, holidays and source publication schedules can affect the date. This tool therefore provides a current online reference comparison, not a live trading quote.
Allow for fees and practical differences
A bank, card provider, exchange shop or money-transfer service may offer a different price. Their spread, service charge, taxes and minimum fees can change what the recipient actually receives. Use this result to estimate or compare, then check the provider’s final quote before paying. Small rounding differences may appear when rates contain several decimal places. For accounting or tax work, confirm which official source and valuation date your rules require.
Handle unavailable results
If the source is unavailable or a currency pair has no usable observation, the tool shows an error rather than inventing a rate. Check your internet connection and retry. The displayed timestamp belongs to the source observation; it is not a promise that the market price remained unchanged afterward. No payment, trade or transfer takes place on this page. Your amount is used for calculation only, while the request to the rate service identifies the selected currency codes. Keep the source date with any saved estimate so its context remains clear.
